Chapter I
The Design
what this deck wants
Written by the coach from this decklist

Ramp
- A five-color blink/value midrange deck fronted by Thanos, whose one-shot Power-up ability is a parity board wipe stapled onto a deathtouch/lifelink beater. The real engine is ETB abuse — flicker outlets recur bombs like Terastodon, Agent of Treachery, Mulldrifter, and Solemn Simulacrum for repeatable value, while a suite of infinite-blink combos (Deadeye + Peregrine Drake, Brago + Strionic Resonator) provide a hard-close backup. You grind with card advantage and tutors, control the board with 15 pieces of interaction plus four wipes, then either combo off or Power-up Thanos to sweep a whole parity class and swing.

Sequence
how the game unfolds

Ramp
- EARLY: hit land drops, deploy Sol Ring / Arcane Signet / Fellwar Stone and a cheap value creature (Baleful Strix, Wall of Omens, Orcish Bowmasters), and set up a draw engine like Sylvan Library or Rhystic Study. MID: land a flicker outlet (Soulherder, Teleportation Circle, Conjurer's Closet, Deadeye Navigator) and start recurring ETBs — Mulldrifter for cards, Shriekmaw/Acidic Slime for removal, Solemn for ramp. Cast Thanos and hold up interaction. LATE: either assemble an infinite-blink loop to win, or activate Thanos's Power-up to wipe one parity class of creatures while Thanos survives, then close with a lethal deathtouch/lifelink swing or Purphoros/Warstorm Surge burst from ETB pings.
- Ramp is 10 and all REPEATABLE — Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Fellwar Stone, Chromatic Lantern fix and accelerate, while Cultivate, Farseek, Wood Elves, and Solemn Simulacrum fetch lands and glue the five-color mana together. Selvala, Heart of the Wilds is your explosive dork that can dump huge green mana. Burst mana is 0 — no Treasures or rituals, so every acceleration you get compounds on future turns rather than spiking one. Curve is midrange-heavy: 5 one-drops, 16 twos, 16 threes, then a real top-end of eight 6+ drops (Terastodon, Agent of Treachery, Rune-Scarred Demon, Sun Titan). Average CMC 3.44 with 37 lands means you want ramp early to reach that top end reliably.
Chapter V
The Opening
what to keep, what to ship
Written by the coach from this decklist

Ramp
- Keep 3–4 lands with a mana rock or land-fetch (Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Cultivate, Farseek) and at least one engine or interaction piece. Because this is five colors off 37 lands and Triomes/shocks, prioritize hands that fix colors — a Chromatic Lantern or a fetchable dual is gold. Ship hands that are all top-end with no ramp, or two-landers with no rock and no fetch; you can't reliably power out the 6+ drops. A hand with a flicker outlet but no ETB target and no ramp is a marginal keep — you want a payoff online too.

Utility
- Assemble an infinite-blink loop for the win — Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake makes infinite mana, then blink a payoff (Mulldrifter to deck opponents, or with Terror of the Peaks / Warstorm Surge / Purphoros in play, infinite ETB pings kill the table).
- Grind ETB value with flicker outlets (Soulherder, Teleportation Circle, Deadeye Navigator) recurring Terastodon, Agent of Treachery, and Shriekmaw until you dominate the board, then swing with deathtouch/lifelink Thanos.
- Activate Thanos's Power-up to destroy every creature of one parity (odd or even), keeping Thanos as a growing threat, then close with combat.
- Lock the game with Brago, King Eternal + Cyclonic Rift + Eternal Witness — bounce every opponent's nonland permanent each of your turns until they can't function.
Chapter VII
Assemblies
pieces that lock together
Written by the coach from this decklist

Brago, King Eternal + Cyclonic Rift + Eternal Witness → soft lock bouncing opponents' nonland permanents every turn
- Land Brago, King Eternal and deal combat damage to trigger his blink
- Cast Cyclonic Rift (overloaded) to bounce all opponents' nonland permanents
- Blink recurs your board while Eternal Witness (blinked by Brago) returns Cyclonic Rift from the graveyard
- Recast Cyclonic Rift each turn to keep opponents' boards empty — soft lock the table

Handling
counsel and common errors

Spot Removal
- Choose Thanos's Power-up parity carefully — zero is even, so a board of tokens (0/CMC) and most of your own high-CMC bombs' survival depends on the split; sweep the class your best creatures avoid.
- Don't jam Thanos into open mana on a stalled board; his Power-up is a one-time ability, so save it for when the sweep is maximally asymmetric or when you need the deathtouch/lifelink beater to survive.
- Sequence ramp before top-end: this deck has zero burst mana, so a missed early rock means a real delay reaching Terastodon and the 7-drops.
- Protect combo pieces with Ephemerate, Heroic Intervention, and Swiftfoot Boots, and hold Force of Will / Fierce Guardianship for the crucial resolve rather than tapping out early.
- Treat flicker outlets as value engines first — recurring Shriekmaw and Acidic Slime keeps the board clean and buys time to find a combo; you rarely need to race.
- Watch your Extinction Event and Thanos mana-value choices against your own board — pick the value/parity that leaves your key creatures alive.
